The Opening Ceremony of the 55th International Famous Furniture Fair (Dongguan)

On March 15, the 55th International Famous Furniture Fair (Dongguan) kicked off at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center​. Under the theme “Gathering Light”, the fair brought together home furnishing professionals, designers, global buyers and media from all over the world to witness the grand opening of this flagship industry event in the spring.

The five-day fair (March 15–19) features 9 themed halls, 1 independent exhibition, 7 curated IPs and over 200 side events, fully presenting the latest trends, innovations and unlimited opportunities in the global home furnishing industry.

The opening ceremony was held at Hall 3, 2nd Floor, Banquet Hall B, with distinguished guests and industry leaders gathering to mark the official launch of the fair. With the press of the launch button by the honorable guests, the 55th International Famous Furniture Fair (Dongguan) officially opened.

Mr. Xu Xiangnan, Chairman of the World Furniture Federation, congratulated the opening of the 55th International Famous Furniture Fair and commended Dongguan’s world-class furniture industry cluster. Under the theme “Gathering Light”, he stated that the fair would boost new-quality productivity, smart and green development, and help China evolve from a big furniture producer to a global furniture power.

Mr. Ricky Wong, the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Furniture Federation, noted that the industry is embracing a key recovery period with strong policy support. He highlighted the fair’s upgrade into a home furnishing industrial ecosystem and introduced the A11 Design Ecology Co-creation Exhibition, welcoming global buyers and designers to explore cooperation.

Mr. Lam Guorong, the Chairman of the Dongguan Famous Furniture Association, welcomed all guests and explained the theme “Gathering Light” as illuminating innovation and design value. He said the fair would accelerate Dongguan’s leap from a manufacturing hub to an aesthetic hub, and drive the home furnishing industry to go global.

The opening ceremony fully demonstrated the power of “Gathering Light” — the home furnishing industry joins hands to break through challenges, cooperate for innovation and embrace new opportunities for high-quality development.
